What do the top 100 blogs look like? Do you have some fragment of an idea? I didn’t know, but thought it might be interesting to take a look and find out. I decided I would take a few minuets and categorize the top100 blogs according to Technorati.com.
The ranking of these blogs is based upon their “authority”. This term is a numerical number devised by Technorati. Their FAQ reads as such:
Technorati Authority is the number of blogs linking to a website in the last six months. The higher the number, the more Technorati Authority the blog has.
It’s actually a pretty good way of determining the popularity of a blog. While it is not about readership per se, it is about who is stirring the pot and which blogs are posting things that reverberate in the blogosphere (gosh, I hate that word).

Which site are you refering to? Technorati? They are a little buggy at times, but it is probably still the best directory/aggrigator out there.
